Manual Mode Revealed, JUNE 12th-13th $225.00
In this 1 1/2 day workshop, Tanya breaks down the basic language of photography so that you can begin to take control of your camera. Once you understand the language your camera speaks, you'll gain creative control and start the journey in MAKING images, not just taking them.

This photography workshop teaches participants how to move off “auto” modes of their DSLR so they can begin to master exposure and shooting in both “semi-auto” and manual modes. It covers composition, perspective and focuses on all aspects of the exposure triangle. We'll be covering important exposure concepts such as aperture, shutter speed and ISO. You will leave with a better understanding of how to control your exposure, depth of field, freezing and blurring motion, as well as some basic lighting tips and how to work with different lighting scenarios.

This is a combination of "classroom" learning as well as a hands-on shooting experience and discussion of images captured.  We take the information you learn out and shoot together to work in a real world environment to address your specific questions and needs. Afterwards we take some time to look at the images and discuss the successes and struggles for a deeper understanding of the technical information learned.  Digital SLR camera with full manual controls is required.

Participants will be given a presentation manual that includes diagrams and examples that are thoughtfully laid out and easy to replicate for learning assignments.
